Directed Energy Deposition (DED) is an additive manufacturing process where powder or wire is combined with a laser to deposit material onto a build plate or an existing part.  The structure is built up layer by layer, allowing for single-piece geometries that would be impossible with conventional machining.  DED is capable of building additive parts in a shorter period of time than other additive process.  We can work with you to design and build a part from scratch or take your design and print it using our dedicated DED cell.
